“Lighting” has always been a dirty word in my professional vocabulary.

Yup, that’s right. Me – Photo Sister – is scared to death of strobes, stands, umbrellas and wireless triggering systems. Thinking of having to learn how these pieces of gear work on a live set with people watching me completely freaks me out. I’m totally serious.

I confided this bit of information to my awesome friend Andy from UnknownPhotographer.net and you know what he said? He looked me dead in the eye and said “I’ll teach you lighting, but it’s going to be filmed for other’s to learn from.”

So here goes nothing.
