5 Hours and 48 Minutes with Stefano Paturi
5 Hours and 48 Minutes with Stefano Paturi
When you move to a new city it is incredibly important to make friends straight away.
Shortly after relocating to Miami, I reached out to trusted friends and colleagues to become connected with like-minded people and artists in my new location. With that, I feel as though my fortune was shining down on me the day I was introduced to Stefano Paturi through our mutual friend, Lou Freeman. Within the first few moments of our first meeting, I knew he was one of those incredibly beautiful gems that life presents to the world, a kindred spirit, and a friend for life. I felt very blessed that day to be able to spend time and space with Stefano talking about art and life.
Stefano is a true artist. He moved to Miami in the early ’90s from Rome, where he studied dance. He is a classical fresco painter, an interior designer with a master in architecture and serves clients in Europe and the US through his company Secolis; he is also the producer of Nitam presenting Miami scripted events from Paolo Valentini bringing together theater, dance, visual arts, and fashion, as well as music and food to benefit youth in Miami. To top it all off and create an extra background explanation, Stefano also is a professional male model who can be often seen on the runways in Europe.
He is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful people I have ever met in my life and was given the wonderful honor of photographing a brand new series of images for his new comp card.
To create a set of imagery that would help him stand out in his modeling career, I approached him with a series I’ve been wanting to test out: a “Bond-Inspired” shoot. It would include a series of imagery portraying an exceptional man in the various elements of his daily life in fabulous environmental settings. I quickly came up with a mood-board using images collected through my Pinterest account and produced a final storyboard of locations, wardrobe, and looks that would not only bring my vision to life, but produce high-end photographs he would have for promotional use and personal branding.
Our team consisted of Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist, Evy Edelman; photo assistant Haley Felder (who rocked BTS images with my iPhone which will be featured on the next blog post); and an incredible network of friends who provided their beautiful private homes to photograph in. This entire group of professionals were fueled with optimism and positive spirit and at the end of the day brought the entire shoot together harmoniously. Thank you all so much!
Without any further ado… I present to you all my photo shoot with artist Stefano Paturi…
